The GlobaLog® system can help frequent flyers to manage the risk of overexposure to cosmic radiation. Frequent flyers that are likely to fly at high latitude, can receive annual doses of radiation greater than those received by radiation workers in the nuclear industry.

Pregnants are in higher risk. Cosmic radiation can cause damage to the genetic material of an unborn child. That is why medical experts recommend that women receive only a minimal dose of cosmic radiation during pregnancy. The GlobaLog® system has special customized procedures for early warnings to pregnant crew members or frequent flyers caring for the health and development of an unborn child.

The GlobaLog® system will provide frequent flyers with a minute-by-minute account of their exposure to cosmic radiation along any given flight route on any given day. GlobaLog® is designed to help individuals manage and minimize their risk of overexposure to cosmic radiation.

What does the EU legislation say?

EU Council Directive 96/29/EURATOM
Each member state shall make arrangements for parties operating aircraft to take account of exposure to cosmic radiation of air crew and frequent flyers who are liable to be subject to an annual exposure of more than 1mSv.

Accurate and easy to use

The GlobaLog® system is Internet-based and very easy to use. You can log on to your personal account from any computer. Should your accumulated exposure reach recommended or statutory limits, the system will automatically inform your company via email.
